World Champion Whitewater Kayaker Claire is now a valued member of our team. She won double gold this year representing Team GB in freestyle Kayaking and Squirt boating and has also beaten all the men in squirt boating, so it has been a great end to the competitive year.
Her plan for 2012 is to spend as much time as possible on the water, training and competing across UK, Europe and North America competing in the European Championships, Teva Mountain Games and on the USA and Canada tour. She's heading out to Morocco kayak surfing at New Year returning for the London Boat Show in January where she will be doing freestyle displays, talks and coaching clinics. After that she's got a month or so of working, training and coaching in the UK before hopefully heading out on the road to do a North American Tour. She will have the European Championships and the possibly some coaching in the Alps during the summer and the 2012 UK freestyle and squirt boating series in the winter when she gets home. This will then be followed by training hard to defend the World Championships titles out in America in 2013 www.freestylekayaking2013.com. It is planning out to look like an incredible few years ahead including the 2016 Olympics hopefully. What a star.
